Being in touch with self.

Every day, we experience mental and emotional influences and often lose touch with our true selves in the name of socialization. However, for our inner peace, it's important to listen to our own voice. We can follow a simple process to achieve this, which involves two steps:

1. Getting to know yourself: This step involves gaining a deeper understanding of our tendency to hide behind various masks and being willing to examine them.
2. Choosing to be yourself: By being true to yourself, we can move away from inner emotional turmoil and towards feeling lighter, liberated, and happy.

Meditation is a powerful tool in this process of self-examination and self-understanding.

Let's return to the nature.

We, as human beings, are a part of the natural world and possess all its qualities, whether we realize it or not. We are born with these natural qualities, but as we grow up and socialize, layers of conditioning get imposed upon us. This causes us to slowly lose our true selves and become a person created by this conditioning.

Our natural true self is like a mirror, and conditioning is like layers of dust. The mirror does not need to be achieved; it is already there or rather, here. The mirror is not lost but is only hidden behind the layers of dust, which we can realize through meditation.

We don't have to follow a path to reach our true nature because we cannot leave our true selves; we cannot go anywhere else. Most of the time, we ignore it, not even listening to ourselves. Our minds and senses constantly look outside, and we are endlessly running to satisfy them. We have so many things to achieve, and it's multiplying. Sometimes we achieve our big goal with hard effort and feel happy and satisfied for a while, but it doesn't last long. We still feel something missing, that is the connection to our deeper self, our inner voice. Meditation is a way to connect to our true existence.

Body,Mind and Soul

When we say "I am", we are referring to our physical existence in our biological form or body.

In reality, our existence is not just the aliveness of the physical body. In a deeper state of meditation, we can realize and feel that "I am" means not just the alive physical body, but something within the body.

In our daily lives, we have seen that when a person dies, the physical body remains, but something slips out of the body which senses its aliveness and says "I am" when the person is alive. We are something more than just a body because our mind thinks about it.

Science says that our mind is the storehouse of the senses we receive from our sense organs in our day-to-day lives. It records, analyzes, calculates, and gives us logic based on experience, and it thinks in terms of the past only. It cannot be analyzed in terms of the future because it has no records of the future. Therefore, our mind must be dependent upon the body and senses. The outer world and environment influence and shape our minds.

As our meditation becomes deeper, our thoughts slowly disappear, and the mind also vanishes. In that silence, we exist as a soul.

We are gifted by nature.

Every one of us is born with unique qualities gifted by nature. As we grow up and interact with various influences from family and our social environment, our thoughts are molded and shaped by them.

At some stage of life, after reaching adulthood, we all ask ourselves the question, "Who am I?" Finding an answer to this profound question of humanity is not easy, but rather very confusing. It is different for each person.

We tend to use our minds to seek answers to questions, but we are never satisfied with the answers our minds give us to the question of 'who am I'.

Our personality is our social identity, which to some extent, we may have altered to fit in with our social circle or due to influence from our surroundings. Sometimes our true qualities, gifted by nature, might get suppressed within us.

Each of us wants to achieve success and feel content in life. To do so, we need to utilize the deeper qualities that were gifted to us. We can truly understand this at a deeper level through meditation. By tapping into these qualities, we can live up to our full potential.
